IronKids will be adopting a new age rule for each of the IronKids events in the 2012 season.

Each athlete will race in the age group according to his or her age ON RACE DAY. Furthermore, if you race your current age on race day and qualify for the Hy-Vee IronKids U.S. Championship in September, you must race your age on the race day of the Championship.

Example:

John races as a 9 year old in IronKids Florida (May 19th) and qualifies for the Hy-Vee IronKids U.S. Championship on September 1st. On July 1st, Johnny turns 10. He must now races as a 10 year old at the Hy-Vee IronKids U.S. Championship.
